The Daily Mail reported the 26-year-old watched the company load up the $100,000 black Model S in Manhattan on Saturday.

“I’m selling it because I need to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son’s child support,” she said.

St. Clair was asked why she believed Musk reduced her child support and whether she viewed the move as “vindictive.”

“Yeah, that’s his modus operandi, when women speak out,” she added.

St. Clair added she had not spoken to Musk since Feb. 13 and pointed to the Tesla stock price as evidence “I’m not the only one who is cleaning up after his messes.”

Newly sworn in Jens-Frederik Nielsen says ‘Trump says that the United States is getting Greenland. Let me be clear: the United States won’t get that’

The US will not get Greenland, its new prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, has said in response to Donald Trump’s latest statements that he wants to take control of the vast Arctic country.

“President Trump says that the United States is getting Greenland. Let me be clear: the United States won’t get that. We do not belong to anyone else. We determine our own future,” Nielsen said.

During an interview with NBC on Saturday, the US president said: “We’ll get Greenland. Yeah, 100%” and argued that while there’s a “good possibility that we could do it without military force … I don’t take anything off the table.”

Trump said he “absolutely” had had real conversations about annexing the semi-autonomous Danish territory.

When the system’s on fire, don’t be surprised if someone strikes a match.

On Sunday morning, March 30, the Republican Party of New Mexico’s headquarters in Albuquerque went up in flames. It wasn’t a massive blaze — firefighters arrived just before 6 a.m. and quickly extinguished it — but the damage was done. Windows were scorched, the front entryway blackened, and three words spray-painted in stark accusation across the facade:“ICE = KKK.”

No one was hurt, and for that, we’re grateful. We’ll say it plainly: Closer to the Edge does not condone violence, arson, the torching of buildings, or setting anything on fire — including the Constitution. But we also won’t pretend this came out of nowhere.

This is what happens when institutions treat human lives as expendable. When law enforcement disappears 48 New Mexico residents in a week and refuses to say where they are. When immigrant families live in fear of a knock at the door and GOP lawmakers turn that fear into campaign fuel. When political leaders enable state brutality and then act shocked when someone fights fire with fire.

Let’s be clear: setting fire to the New Mexico GOP headquarters was wrong. But we’re not surprised. The system was already burning.

THE ICE COLD REALITY IN NEW MEXICO

Earlier this month, ICE agents raided communities across Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Roswell. Forty-eight people vanished into federal custody. No public names. No access to lawyers. No transparency. The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico filed a human rights complaint, accusing ICE of “enforced disappearances.” If that term sounds dramatic, consider this: families still don’t know where their loved ones are. That’s not enforcement. That’s terror by bureaucracy.

The GOP has been largely silent about this. Instead, they’ve accused progressives of “implicitly encouraging” political violence. But let’s ask: what do they call disappearing 48 people in a state where ICE has already been accused of harassing Native American tribal members?

You can’t cry foul when someone torches your front door if your policies have been setting people’s lives on fire for years.

THE NEW MEXICO GOP’S TRACK RECORD

The New Mexico Republican Party has long supported policies that chip away at the safety net — opposing the ACA, resisting Medicaid expansion, and pushing work requirements that often leave disabled and poor residents without care. They’ve backed school voucher schemes that bleed public schools dry, and their past leadership has flirted with reinstating the death penalty. They champion border militarization while remaining quiet on the abuse of detainees in private immigration prisons scattered across the state.

Let’s not forget: in 2020, someone spray-painted “STILL TRAITORS” on this same building. That was after a former GOP congressional intern was arrested — and later cleared — for vandalizing it. This is the third time since 2017 the headquarters has been targeted. That doesn’t justify anything. But it does raise a question: why does this building keep attracting fire?

CONDEMNING VIOLENCE, DEMANDING TRUTH

Closer to the Edge stands against political violence. We don’t burn buildings. We don’t burn bridges. We don’t burn the Constitution — even when others already have it halfway in the shredder.

But let’s not play dumb. A system that allows people to be snatched in silence, detained without due process, and left to rot in secret — that system invites fury. And when neither party is willing to fully confront that truth, someone eventually does it with a match.

The GOP doesn’t get to play victim while enabling policies that victimize others. And the Democrats don’t get to wash their hands with bland statements while ICE raids continue under their watch.

This is not just about one fire in Albuquerque. It’s about the fire running underneath this country — fueled by injustice, fanned by indifference, and waiting for anyone desperate enough to light the surface.

Sacramento Bee: ‘Extreme Overcrowding’: More than 46K Held at ICE Facilities

Welcome to the American Gulag!

As of mid-March, ICE facilities have reported holding over 46,000 individuals, exceeding capacity and leading to serious allegations of inadequate living conditions. Detainees have described extreme overcrowding and insufficient sanitary supplies.

Family members of detainees have reached out to ICE but have reportedly received little information regarding the reasons for their loved ones’ detentions. Advocacy efforts have been supported by lawmakers who called to attention the need for reform.

In response to ongoing immigration issues, the administration has attempted to expand detention capacities and may alter standards for detainment. Scheduled hearings for detainees are set for July.

It’s overcrowded in Hell and they still have to wait FOUR months for a hearing? FOUR months for due process to start?

Daily Beast: Trump Orders Firing of Prosecutor Investigating One of His Donors

The corruption continues at the highest levels!

A Los Angeles-based federal prosecutor was reportedly fired Friday on instruction of the White House, with sources saying that it was likely due to his part in a case involving one of Trump’s top donors.

Citing several sources familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the Los Angeles Times reports that prosecutor Adam Schleifer was fired Friday morning at around 11 a.m. via an email that read “on behalf of President Donald J. Trump.”

Carley Palmer, a former Los Angeles federal prosecutor, told the outlet that Schleifer received his termination from a “one line email and it came from a White House staff account.”

His former colleagues helped him pack up his office belongings swiftly after the email came through.

Sources also noted that Schleifer’s boss, acting U.S. attorney for the Central District of California, Joseph T. McNally, was not involved with the decision.

In a statement to the Daily Beast, White House Press Secretary [Bimbo #1] Karoline Leavitt said: “The White House, in coordination with the Department of Justice, has dismissed more than 50 U.S. Attorney and Deputies in the past few weeks. The American people deserve a judicial branch full of honest arbiters of the law who want to protect democracy, not subvert it.”

The Times’ sources also said that they suspect Schleifer’s termination was caused in part by one case in particular: a probe of Andrew Wiederhorn, the former CEO of restaurant operator Fat Brands Inc. which owns fast-food chains like Fatburger and Johnny Rockets.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, Wiederhorn was indicted by a grand jury last May on “federal charges alleging a scheme to conceal $47 million in distributions he received in the form of shareholder loans” from the IRS and other appropriate bodies. The former CEO pleaded not guilty.

Citing Federal Election Commission records, the Times reports that Wiederhorn donated “approximately $40,000” to the Republican National Committee and Trump political action committees since 2023.

Meanwhile, Schleifer has reportedly made several public remarks criticizing President Donald Trump. In one 2020 tweet, the prosecutor wrote: “It’s hard to imagine a President doing more to demoralize line prosecutors, law-enforcement partners, and faith in rule of law than he already has.”

Conservative influencer Laura Loomer even spotlighted Schleifer’s old tweets in an X post Friday, where she asked why a “Biden holdover” was “still working for the US Attorney’s office under the new Trump administration? He is a Trump hater.”

“Fire him. He supported the impeachment of President Trump and said he wanted to repeal Trump’s tax plan,” she continued. “We need to purge the US Attorney’s office of all leftist Trump haters.”

TAG24 News: Elon Musk furiously reacts as Tesla Takedown protests rage around the world

Poor Muskie just doesn’t seem to understand the concept of a popular movement. Nobody elected this creep in the first place. Most Americans just want him GONE to somewhere, anywhere!

According to CNN, Saturday marked a “global day of action” for the Tesla Takeover movement, which planned over 200 demonstrations at Tesla locations across the US and 300 more around the world.

In response, Musk spent his Sunday sharing reactions and memes on social media, insisting that Democrats are trying to “destroy my influence” by pushing “negative propaganda about me like the fake Nazi stuff.”

“Sure is insanely ironic that the people shooting bullets into Tesla stores, burning down cars, and generally being violent are calling me a Nazi when I have done literally zero violence at all,” Musk shared in one post.

In recent weeks, Tesla has been the target of protests and acts of vandalism. In some cases, activists have set fire to Tesla vehicles.

Protesters have taken issue with Musk’s role as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he has used to slash government jobs and dismantle agencies.

Musk also claimed in his posts that the protesters were being paid, and those who are funding them need to be taken care of.

They’re being paid? Where do I apply?

Irish Star: Kristi Noem [Bimbo #2] slammed for staggering travel expenses footed by taxpayers

The ICE Princess definitely is a princess!

She previously refused to divulge exactly how much her extensive travel was costing taxpayers. But after assuming her new post, nominated by Trump himself, the number has emerged, and it is shocking.

The Associated Press recently analyzed Noem’s travel records, and determined that she had accrued more than $150,000 in expenses tied to her political and personal activity. The records include several trips to Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump stayed at his Mar-a-Lago resort before taking office.

During Noem’s six years as governor – from 2018 until 2024 – AP found that South Dakota covered more than $640,000 in travel-related costs incurred by the governor’s office.

Some of the trips included $7,555 in airfare for a six-day trip to Paris, where she spoke at a right-wing gathering. It also included a bear hunt in Canada with her niece, and a book tour that involved a stop in New York.

For some of the trips, it was unclear whether it was for professional or personal reasons. One in particular that drew backlash was a $2,200 charge associated with a trip to Houston for dental work, that she showcased on Instagram.

The expenses were officially released last month, following a lawsuit by The Dakota Scout. Since then, several Republican politicians have accused Noem of using state funds to help bolster her own political career.

The Trump administration has been dedicated to tackling waste, fraud, and abuse in government, according to the AP.

Start by firing Bimbo #2 Kristi Noem!

Noem was recently slammed for being “tone deaf” on a trip to a prison in El Salvador, sporting a $50,000 Rolex watch. She also filmed a video inside the prison, with prisoners in crowded conditions in the background.

Mpneywise: Air travel between the US and Canada is set to plunge 75% and domestic tourism has also slowed — how to plan your trips as Trump’s policies hit travel demand

Forward bookings for flights between Canada and the U.S. in coming months have plunged by as much as 75% compared with the same period in 2024, according to OAG, a global travel data provider.

In February, the number of Canadians crossing the land border into the U.S. dropped almost 500,000 compared to the same period last year, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) — reaching levels not seen since the height of the Covid-19 border closures.

“A 10% reduction in Canadian travel could mean 2.0 million fewer visits, $2.1 billion in lost spending and 14,000 job losses,” according to the U.S. Travel Association, which noted that Canada is the top source of international visitors to the country, with 20.4 million visits in 2024.

Does Trump care?

Probably not!

Fox News: Trump Says U.S. Doesn’t Need Canada After All

So it was all just a bad dream?

Senility?

Dementia?

President Donald Trump appears to have had a change of heart about the United States taking over Canada, claiming that Americans “don’t need anything” from their northern neighbor.

Despite his repeated assertions that the sprawling, resource-rich country should become America’s 51st state, the president told reporters on Air Force One Sunday that the “golden age” is coming, sans Canada. “We have our own lumber and energy,” he said, referencing slated plans for levies on wood from north of the border. “We don’t need energy from Canada. We don’t need lumber from Canada. We don’t need anything from Canada. I believe this will be the golden age of America,” he added.

Last week, Trump spoke over the phone with the new Canadian prime minister, Mark Carney. Despite the ongoing trade war, the call was “very constructive,” Carney said. He added that Trump “respected Canada’s sovereignty” during the chat.

However, despite the apparent softening of hostilities, Trump launched the latest salvo in his trade war Wednesday, announcing a 25 percent tariff on auto imports beginning April 2.
