Daily Express: Frustrated Trump sends demand to judge ahead of Bryan Kohberger sentencing

President Donald Trump condemned Bryan Kohberger, 30, and demanded the trial judge question him on his murderous actions in a scathing 16-word statement.

“While Life Imprisonment is tough, it’s certainly better than receiving the Death Penalty, but before Sentencing, I hope the Judge makes Kohberger, at a minimum, explain why he did these horrible murders,” he wrote.

Kohberger confessed to the 2022 murders of four students from the University of Idaho as part of a plea deal to avoid capital punishment – with chilling body language being observed.

Trump, however, repudiated the deal, suggesting a quadruple-murder was more than enough to necessitate his death, saying he snuffed out “four wonderful young souls.” It comes after his desperate defence team named another suspect in a last ditch effort.

“There are no explanations, there is no NOTHING. People were shocked that he was able to plea bargain, but the Judge should make him explain what happened. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump continued.

Kohberger entered a guilty plea on July 2 to the killings of Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20.

On Nov. 13, 2022, all were discovered fatally stabbed in a rented home close to the University of Idaho campus. The killings shook the peaceful college town of Moscow and sparked a manhunt that lasted for weeks.

When Kohberger was detained in Pennsylvania, where his family resides, he was a criminal justice student at the nearby Washington State University.

As part of his plea agreement, Kohberger will receive ten years in prison for burglary and four consecutive life sentences for the killings.

Before his sentence is imposed, victims’ families-some of whom have been sharply split over the agreement-will have the opportunity to speak about the consequences of his crimes.

Kohberger will also have the opportunity to speak, although he is under no obligation to.

At 9 a.m. local time, Kohberger’s sentence hearing will start. According to the court, the session “is expected to last the day,” with several breaks planned throughout.

According to Judge Steven Hippler, if necessary, the session could continue into a second day to allow the relatives of the victims to testify.

It’s not a federal matter. King Donald should butt out and mind his own business.
