The Hill: Crockett on [Bimbo #2] Noem trip to Israel: ‘You just had a good photo op’

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) slammed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi [Bimbo #2] Noem for her recent trip to Israel, declaring it just another “photo op.”

Crockett said she didn’t think anything substantive would come from the foreign trip scheduled days after two Israeli Embassy staffers were fatally shot outside of a museum in Washington.

“You just had a good photo op. And I think that that’s probably all Kristi [Bimbo #2] Noem is good for, is a photo op,” Crockett said Sunday during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Weekends with Alex Witt.”

CBS News: Columbia University acting president booed during graduation speech

Columbia University acting President Claire Shipman was greeted with boos and chants of “free Mahmoud” as she took the lectern to speak at the school’s graduation ceremony on Tuesday.

Videos posted to social media showed Shipman pausing while students heckled her before she could begin speaking.

“I know that many of you feel some amount of frustration with me and I know you feel it with the administration. And I know that we have a strong, strong tradition of free speech at this university. And I am always open to feedback, which I am getting right now,” Shipman said at the start of her remarks, allowing for another round of boos after each sentence.

Later in her speech, Shipman was interrupted by students chanting “free Mahmoud,” in reference to Mahmoud Khalil, a graduate student who was detained by immigration authorities in March in New York City and remains in custody in Louisiana. 

What do you expect when you suck up to Trump and help his ICE Gestapo arrest and deport your students?

He went on to blame Ukraine, which Russia invaded over three years ago, sparking the war, for the situation.

“I’m starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who’s too busy celebrating the Victory of World War ll, which could not have been won (not even close!) without the United States of America. HAVE THE MEETING, NOW!!!”

President Trump vowed to end the war in Ukraine on his first day of his second term. He later clarified to TIME Magazine that he was speaking “figuratively,” though he emphasized his commitment to ending major global wars, from Russia-Ukraine to Israel-Hamas.

He’ll end the Ukraine war by giving Ukraine back to Russia.

He’ll end the Israel-Hamas war when the Palestinian is dead.

Right now Trump so busy sucking up to Qatar that the doesn’t know which end is up.

Financial Times: Danes boycotting Coca-Cola, says Carlsberg

Danish consumers are boycotting Coca-Cola, according to Carlsberg, which bottles the US brand in the country, as shoppers protest against Donald Trump’s foreign policy. 

“Our Coca-Cola volumes are slightly down in Denmark,” said Carlsberg’s chief executive Jacob Aarup-Andersen. “There is a level of consumer boycott around the US brands . . . and it’s the only market where we’re seeing that to a large extent.”

The repeated threats by the US president to take the Danish territory of Greenland, potentially by force, have angered many Danes as has his administration’s criticism of Copenhagen.
