President Donald Trump directed the Justice Department to investigate former Homeland Security official Miles Taylor over his “anonymous” essay and book hammering Trump during his first term. Trump went so far as to accuse Taylor of committing treason, a capital offense, for writing about what he saw during Trump’s first term.
Trump also ordered the DOJ to investigate Chris Krebs, Trump’s election security director during his first term. Trump wildly suggested Krebs was part of an effort to steal the 2020 election as Krebs repeatedly said there was no evidence of fraud that he could find.
Contrary to their claims, there was no mistake. “Intellectual property” just doesn’t fit the context. The problem for ICE, our newly self-appointed thought police, is the enormous public backlash coming back at them.

With President Trump’s tariffs spurring a stock market breakdown, Jon Stewart is disappointed by Trump’s uninspired attempts to save face.
In his Monday monologue, Stewart showed viewers Trump’s recent Truth Social post telling Americans, “Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!).”
“Panican?” Stewart replied. “The genius who gave us classics like ’Sleepy Joe’ and ’Crooked Hillary’ just s–t out ‘you’re a Panican’?”

During his Liberation Day address, President Donald Trump appeared to unravel on live TV, bizarrely insisting that more than 90% of Japanese cars are made in Japan.
Despite moving on with his speech, one listener managed to point out the flub. “90% of Japanese cars are made in Japan. Lol,” one person wrote on Twitter. “Trump is too old and senile but maga eat up everything he says.”

In addition to his numbers flub, Trump reportedly left the stage after his speech and had to be escorted back to the dais in order to sign the bill that placed the tariffs in effect at midnight. In the video, the 78-year-old president can be seen smiling and waving to the assembled crowd before walking off and chatting with another official who points him back to the desk.

King Donald is threatening drone strikes inside Mexico:
Amid ongoing threats from President Donald Trump to use drone strikes against drug cartels, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum reiterated her opposition to any military action inside her country.
“We do not agree with any kind of intervention or interference,” Sheinbaum told reporters Tuesday at her daily morning news conference. “This has been very clear: We coordinate, we collaborate, [but] we are not subordinate and there is no meddling in these actions.”
The president’s comments come as reports are growing that the Trump administration is considering carrying out military strikes on cartel targets. Reports suggest the administration is prepared to act unilaterally if Washington cannot secure Mexican support.

Vice President JD Vance led a barrage of MAGA-inspired attacks against Sen. Mitch McConnell on Tuesday in a rare public rebuke of the former Republican leader over his refusal to support a key Pentagon nominee.
The war of words ignited shortly after McConnell found himself the lone Republican vote against Elbridge Colby, President Donald Trump’s selection to be the Defense Department’s top policy strategist.
“Make no mistake: America will not be made great again by those who are content to manage our decline,” McConnell said in a statement that was quickly circulated on social media.
Democratic strategist James Carville warned Americans to be on “high alert” after listeners suggest President Donald Trump would do everything from rigging the upcoming midterm elections to declaring martial law.
On the Politics War Room podcast with co-host Al Hunt, Carville answered questions submitted by listeners. The first questions asked whether Trump will “rig” upcoming elections and the other suggested he was “sparking” nationwide protests to justify declaring martial law.

Carville claimed Trump does not “like” the United States or respect the Constitution. The country, he declared, is “in the midst of a collapse,” citing stock market struggles amid Trump’s tariffs.
“I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Trump does not like the United States,” Carville said. “He doesn’t like our laws, he does not like our Constitution. He doesn’t like our people. He calls them fat. He calls them poorly educated, slobs, stupid. And he is in the midst of what I believe — I’ve said, and yet, continue to believe even stronger every day — we’re in the midst of a collapse.”
If Trump is “going down,” Carville added, “he’s going to try to take the whole country with him.”
“He is not loyal to the United States of America. He does not like this country. He criticizes it all the time. He has affection for dictators. He has an affection for authoritarianism,” he said.
