2 paragraphs: GOP Congressman Releases Epstein Poll Results, “This Is Not a Hoax”
U.S. Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) is among the few House Republicans who is pushing for a complete release of documents held by the federal government related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Massie has been trying to get more Republicans to sign his discharge petition to force a congressional vote on the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act he co-sponsored with Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna of New York. The bill would compel the release of the full cache of Epstein-related records.
MAGA-aligned Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Nancy Mace (R-SC) have signed the petition while House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has, according to Axios, “urged his Republican members to steer clear of the petition, arguing that Oversight’s probe will ultimately yield more information.”
[Note: The Oversight probe Johnson refers to leaves the distribution and disclosure of Epstein files content to the sole discretion of Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY), a devoted Donald Trump supporter, in a situation critics say is unlikely to produce real transparency.]
While President Trump, a former friend of Epstein, continues to refer to the Epstein Files as “a hoax” that was “made up” by former FBI Director James Comey, among others, Massie conducted a poll this weekend on X.
Massie posed the question: “Is it a hoax that Jeffrey Epstein was involved in underage sex trafficking, and there is unreleased evidence that would likely expose rich and politically connected perpetrators to indictments or convictions?”
With the results below (94 percent replied, “No, Release Epstein file”), Massie wrote: “The people know this is not a hoax (see poll), and as the survivors said this week, calling this a hoax dehumanizes the victims.”
On Wednesday, Massie led a press conference on the steps of the Capitol with some of the victims of Epstein and his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, whom President Donald Trump’s assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche recently interviewed in prison in Florida and then had moved to a lower security facility in Texas.
The conference was interrupted by a flyover of U.S. fighter jets, which one of the victims at the press conference responded to with a profane hand gesture.
According to Massie, misinformation on X followed his press conference — including a rumor it was attended by attorney Gloria Allred, who during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, represented three women who accused Trump of sexual misconduct-claims which Trump has denied.
One Trump supporter on X (“Gettysburg Obsessed”) replied to Massie’s poll: “Having Gloria Allred there says it may be a hoax.” Massie replied to the comment: “Allred was not at our press conference. I’m sorry you fell for that.”
Note: Allred appeared last month at a press conference with one of her clients, Alicia Arden, who says she filed a police report against Epstein in the late 1990s, after he allegedly committed sexual battery against her. At that press conference she called on the Trump administration to release the Epstein files.
Fort Worth Star-Telegram: ‘We Are Not Ignoring the Law’: DHS Responds to Detainments
A 19-year-old college student from Georgia remained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody following her arrest during a traffic stop. Ximena Arias-Cristobal was detained in Georgia when her dark truck was mistakenly identified as a vehicle linked to an illegal turn. Although all charges against her were dropped after a review of dash cam footage, her immigration status has remained in question. On May 21, she was granted a bond, allowing her release to her family. She reportedly still faces potential deportation to Mexico as ICE has initiated proceedings.
Despite the dismissal of charges, Arias-Cristobal remains in ICE custody, having lived in Whitfield County since she was four. City officials, including the city administrator and prosecuting attorney, have confirmed the error and informed Arias-Cristobal’s legal team.
Moneywise: MTG’s $1T fraud claim debunked by experts
In a digital post dripping with outrage, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene echoed the claims made by [F’]Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, alleging widespread fraud within the Social Security system.
“Our own government just blindly sends checks to anyone and everyone whether citizen, non-citizen, dead or alive,” Greene said in a recent post on X, formerly Twitter. “We must end this malpractice and outright waste, fraud, and abuse. This is the mission of DOGE.”
Why does Georgia keep electing this brainless piece of sh*t?
Miami Herald: ‘Lying to Him’: Greene Slams Trump White House
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized President Donald Trump’s advisers during an interview on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast. She claimed that some in Trump’s inner circle are misinforming him. Greene also expressed concern about Trump’s foreign policy, particularly regarding the potential for renewed conflict with Iran.
Greene questioned, “Why on earth would we go over and occupy Ukraine and spend an untold amount of future American taxpayer dollars defending and mining their minerals as well as potentially putting American lives at risk and future war? Why don’t we just mine our own rare earth minerals that are tied up on federal lands that the government confiscated years ago?”
Greene noted during the interview that there are people “in the president’s ear” who are “lying to him,” but she did not specify who. Bannon challenged the notion of a divide between Trump and his base, prompting Greene to clarify that the true divide exists between Trump and establishment Republicans undermining his agenda.
I love it when these creeps feed on one another. It’s a dog-eat-dog world!

Daily Beast: ‘Frustrated’ MTG Unleashes Laundry List of Complaints Against Trump Admin
Outspoken Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has sounded off against the Trump administration in a lengthy tirade on the social media site X.
“I represent the base and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy,” wrote Greene.
The post fired shots at the recent minerals deal with Ukraine, the handling of the war in Iraq, COVID-19 vaccines, and election integrity, saying the Trump administration has so far failed to address concerns that frustrate “the base.”
The only constituency Marjorie Taylor Greene represents is her own big mouth. But it’s always good to see the carnivores chewing on one another. Remember, “It’s a dog eat dog world.”
