Daily Mail: Donald Trump complains Air Force One ‘much smaller and less impressive’ than Middle East planes

‘The plane that you are on right now is almost 40 years old,’ Trump remarked, referring to Air Force One and noting that the Boeing planes purchased by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar were ‘brand new 747s.’

‘You see ours next to it. This is like a totally different plane. It’s much smaller and less impressive, as impressive as it is,’ Trump said. ‘We are the United States of America I believe we should have the most impressive plane.’

The 747-8 offered by the Qataris is considered more fuel efficient and quiet but it is most notable for it’s luxurious interior, designed by famed French design firm Alberto Pinto Cabinet.

King Donald appears to be suffering an acute case of Boeing envy.

Only the best for His Majesty, the Emir of Washington!

NJ.com: Another sign that Trump bromance is hurting Elon Musk and Tesla

Despite some analysts who believe Tesla stock will make a comeback — and there are those even suggesting a bull run — some employees (who already have sold their stock) don’t have the same perspective.

According to Business Insider, Musk is telling workers in Texas to take a week off:

Tesla told Austin workers on its Model Y and Cybertruck lines to stay home for the week of Memorial Day, three workers told Business Insider.

The break is unusually long, the workers said. Production lines were up and running during the same period last year, they said.

The electric vehicle maker notified employees earlier this week. The workers, who are paid hourly, were told they could either take paid time off or come in for cleaning and training but would not be working on the production line.

The workers said their schedules had been increasingly inconsistent since February. Some said they had been sent home early on multiple occasions.

So, what could have happened between December and May that might have triggered the collapse? Here’s The Guardian’s guess:

Never before has the world’s richest person been deputized by the US president to cull the very agencies that oversee his businesses. Musk’s attempts to radically dismantle government bureaus have won him sprawling influence. His team has embedded its members in key roles across federal agencies, gained access to personal data on millions of Americans and fired tens of thousands of workers. SpaceX, where he is CEO, is now poised to take over potential government contracts worth billions. He has left a trail of chaos while seeding the government with his allies, who will probably help him profit and preserve his newfound power.

Sounds about right.

Newsweek: Canada has barred Tesla vehicles from being eligible for the country’s electric vehicle rebate

In a statement released on Tuesday, Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland said that Tesla would be banned from all of Canada’s electric vehicle rebate programs and that any outstanding payments to Tesla owners would be paused.

Freeland said the policy was going into effect due to the tariffs the United States placed on Canada, which she described as “illegitimate and illegal.”

Trump’s Bimbo #3 Pam Bondi needs to butt out & mind her own business. Non-violent protest is protected free speech. Read the First Amendment, toots. If you can read.

The bell has rung to signal the start of Round 2 between Attorney General Pam Bondi and Rep. Jasmine Crockett, as Trump’s top legal enforcer demands the Texas Democrat apologize to Tesla shareholders for her public criticism of the automaker.

The saga started after Crockett voiced her support for #TeslaTakedown, a group organizing nonviolent protests against Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company. In response, Bondi told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo Monday that the congresswoman needed to “tread very carefully.”

Crockett appeared shortly after on MSNBC to remind Bondi that she had not “promoted violence whatsoever.”

But Bondi was not done.

And it goes on …
