Deadline: Paramount Offers Millions To Trump To End $20B ’60 Minutes’ Suit & Let Skydance Merger Go Through

Donald Trump and Paramount don’t have a deal yet to settle POTUS’ months old $20 billion 60 Minutes lawsuit, but the Shari Redstone ruled media company has put some serious millions on the table in the hopes to make this roadblock to a merger with Skydance disappear.

“It’s very early days,” a source close to talks between Trump’s lawyers and Paramount’s attorneys and execs tells Deadline. “An opening offer has been made, but more negotiations are underway,” the source confirmed, but would not go into specifics beyond saying “right now, it’s an eight-figure discussion.”

Earlier today, The Wall Street Journal reported that Paramount has offered $15 million, but Trump’s team wanted $25 million and an apology from CBS News. When asked by Deadline if the $15 million number that the WSJ reported today plus Trump’s team rejection and threat of a new suit was accurate, another individual with knowledge of the mediation replied, “sounds about right, as where things are at.”

The corruption and shakedown from the Oval Office continues unabated.

Kansas City Star: ‘Party is Completely Broken’: Poll Reveals AOC Approval

Co/efficient polling has shown a lack of agreement among likely voters concerning the Democratic Party’s future leadership. Co/efficient polling is a U.S.-based analytics firm specializing in political and public affairs research.

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stands out as a leading figure, along with Vice President Kamala Harris. As Democrats face recent electoral losses, they have struggled to unite around a common leader, raising speculation about potential presidential candidates for 2028.

University of Kentucky political science professor D. Stephen Voss said, “AOC serves as the face of the Democratic Party for many Trump supporters who dislike national Democrats. They like to pillory her as ignorant and irresponsible.”

Voss added, “At the same time, many Democrats embrace AOC as a worthy young successor to Bernie, someone who can play the role of progressive challenger in a Democratic nomination battle. Likely AOC tops the charts because she attracts so much bipartisan attention. Ocasio-Cortez enjoys good branding, as symbolized by the fact both supporters and critics simply refer to her as AOC. No matter what Ocasio-Cortez does in the next presidential election, she’ll be hard to ignore.”

The polling has found that 26 percent of respondents view Ocasio-Cortez as a leading representative, equal to those who feel there is no clear leader in the party.

Associated Press: May Day demonstrations in US and around the globe protest Trump agenda

Hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S. and around the world rallied Thursday in May Day protests that united many in anger over President Donald Trump’s agenda from aggressive tariffs that are stoking fears of global economic turmoil to his administration’s immigration crackdowns.

In the United States, organizers framed this year’s International Workers’ Day protests as a pushback against what they see as the administration’s sweeping assault on labor protections, diversity initiatives and federal employees. Protesters lined streets in many cities from New York to Philadelphia to Los Angeles and held a boisterous rally outside the White House in Washington.

CBS News: Wisconsin Supreme Court race won by Democrat-backed Susan Crawford

Up yours, Musk! Take your money and shove it!

You and your corrupt cronies flushed $81,000,000 down Wisconsin sewers, and you still don’t own a judge on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Wisconsin voters have a lot more brains and integrity than you give them credit for, certainly a lot more than you have.

Susan Crawford, who was endorsed by the Democratic Party, won the closely-watched Wisconsin Supreme Court race Tuesday night in what was the most expensive judicial election in American history.

What would have normally been a sleepy nonpartisan judicial race turned into an expensive battle between Crawford, a Dane County judge, and Waukesha County Judge Brad Schimel, who was endorsed by the Republican Party. The campaigns and their supporters have spent more than $81 million, attracting endorsements and campaign appearances from Elon Musk, Vermont Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders and other national political figures.

With 70% of the vote in, Crawford led Schimel by 55% to 44%, a margin of about 189,000 votes.
