Raw Story: ‘Second biggest scandal’: Trump accused of new grift that puts Qatari plane in Shade

“The plane is the second-biggest scandal on this trip,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) told Raw Story. “The $2 billion crypto investment in Trump stablecoin [by an Emirati firm] is the more offensive grift.”

Now, Trump is unshackled. The president and his sons aren’t even pretending to close shop: they’re expanding, thirsty for deals like the one they signed in April to build a golf club in Qatar.

“What he’s doing is already illegal, so we don’t actually need a statute for that,” Schatz told Raw Story. “Now I would say his corruption complicates the conversation for sure, but I am not one of these people who think we need to make a new law to reiterate that the existing laws shouldn’t be broken.”

As for the confluence of multi-billion dollar crypto investments, real-estate deals and a $400 million plane?

“That’s just what we know,” Whitehouse said. “I don’t think it gets better.”

Roll Call: Pardons for friends, retribution for foes

Critics say Trump has Used the Powers of the President in Ways That Raise Alarms

President Donald Trump spent much of the last four years decrying Justice Department prosecutions against him and his supporters, and one of his first executive orders in January said it sought to end the “weaponization of prosecutorial power to upend the democratic process.”

But since then, Trump has used the power of his office for actions that critics and experts say inject politics into federal investigations and prosecutions, such as memorandums last month initiating government investigations into actions of two former officials who have been critical of him.

Trump wiped away the criminal cases of his supporters for the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, and has given pardons for supporters and erstwhile allies. The Justice Department since January has dropped a high-profile criminal case against New York Mayor Eric Adams, and made personnel moves that target employees involved in the investigations of Trump and the criminal probes of rioters.

Latin Times: Stephen Miller Suggests U.S. Citizens Should Get Reparations for ‘Damages Inflicted by Mass Migration’

Meanwhile Stephen Miller, winner of the Trump administration’s Joseph Goebbels’ Look-Alike Contest, is having a delusional moment:

Stephen Miller, President Trump‘s Deputy Chief of Staff, said that U.S. citizens are owed reparations for “damages inflicted by mass migration.”

Miller rejected the idea of any compensation for the Abrego Garcia case, saying that the real victims are American citizens affected by the influx of unlawful immigrants into the country:

“Where does our whole country go to get repaid for all of the wealth, all of the prosperity and security that has been stolen from us by decades of uncontrolled, illegal mass migration? We all deserve reparations for what has been stolen from us”

Miller went on to link immigration to a broad range of societal issues, including school performance, crime, and drug overdoses, though he offered no data to support the connections.

“We used to have a functioning public school system in this country,” Miller claimed. “Then we had open borders. Nobody’s learning how to read or write. An entire generation of Americans—multiple generations, in fact—have been robbed of educational opportunities.”
