U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will yank Harvard University‘s exemption status as tension between the esteemed university and the president has reached a boiling point. Trump’s pulling of the status brings an end to a 110-year-old rule that allowed schools to a tax break.

In a chilling post on his Truth Social media website, Trump stated, “We are going to be taking away Harvard’s Tax Exempt Status. It’s what they deserve!” The post comes after the university received several orders from the Trump administration and refused to implement them. Trump was previously branded the ‘dumbest president ever’ following a shocking 6-word geography comment.

The president’s orders also demanded that Harvard reform its admissions process for international students and screen for students who are “supportive of terrorism and anti-Semitism.” The demands also call on Harvard to report any international students to federal authorities should they break the University’s conduct policies.

“Supportive of terrorism and anti-Semitism?” As in supportive of the Palestinian (Gaza) victims of Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing? Screw you, King Donald!

“Attorney General Pam Bondi fired a warning shot at the free press last Friday,” according to the Editorial Board of the Washington Post.

They are concerned with the removal of a Justice Department regulation, which limited the government’s ability to see the phone or email records of journalists.

Bondi replaced this guideline with ones they call “most chilling.”

This is because Bondi is allowing investigators to go after members of the media who obtain “privileged and other sensitive information,” not just classified material, “that undermine President [Donald] Trump’s policies.”

The regulations Bondi removed were put in place by Attorney General Garland.

Additionally, the House of Representatives voted unanimously to codify the regulation, which was known as the Press Act (Protect Reporters and Exploitative State Spying Act) last year.

But Trump called on Senate Republicans to kill the bill after his election.

“The effort had bipartisan support because both parties have an interest in exposing wrongdoing inside government, especially when they are in the opposition,” according to the Post.

Throughout the campaign trail, President Donald Trump promised to crack down drug trafficking operations in Mexican territory, a plan that caused concern among experts and diplomats who warned would be illegal and dangerous. Now, an organization believes Washington is laying the groundwork for military actions anyway.

Some in the Trump administration are reportedly considering launching drone strikes on drug cartels in Mexico as part of an effort to combat the criminal gangs operating across the southern border.

In those discussions, the White House, Defense Department and intelligence officials were still at the early stages of sketching out potential plans. The administration has not made a final decision or reached a definitive agreement about countering cartels. Nonetheless, a unilateral covert action, without Mexico’s consent, had not been ruled out and could be an option of last resort, NBC News reported.

Part of that involves him consolidating two of the most important roles in the federal government — secretary of state and national security adviser — and giving them to Rubio.

“Many of our allies and friends are celebrating May 8th as Victory Day, but we did more than any other country, by far, in producing a victorious result on World War II. I am hereby renaming May 8th as Victory Day for World War II and November 11th as Victory Day for World War I,” Trump wrote via his social media platform, ignoring the fact that November 11 is Veterans Day — which honors those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Last month, as economists warned of the harm Trump’s tariff policies could cause, including drastically increasing the price of goods, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent attempted to dismiss those concerns by insinuating that being able to afford things is not important to Americans.

“Access to cheap goods is not the essence of the American dream,” Bessent said to a crowd of economists. 

It turns out this assertion was only the beginning of the Trump administration’s vision for a new American dream.

From Trump telling reporters that he’s not worried about empty stores to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick saying during an interview that in his version of America, multiple generations will work in the same factories, it sure seems like the Trump administration is trying to prime Americans for accepting and even enjoying a drastically lower standard of living.

With Jansing pointing to the new jobs report that shows unemployment stalled at 4.2 percent, she asked her guest, “I wonder if we’re going to see the president taking credit for this in the economy, right after claiming it’s actually Joe Biden’s economy?”

The Trump administration has developed plans to send migrants to detention centers in Libya on a military flight, according to Reuters.

The flight could depart as soon as Wednesday, officials told The New York Times. The nationalities of those set to be on the flight were not immediately apparent.

Libya is in the middle of severe conflict, and human rights groups have called its migrant detention centers “horrific” and “deplorable.”
