This has been my personal theory all along, glad to see someone else has the same perception. In approximately 20 years — sometime around 2045 — whites will no longer be a majority in the U.S.A.

Trump & crew are desperately trying to hold off this change by removing as many non-whites as they can from circulation; immigrants (make as many as possible “illegal” by terminating their refugees status) and students (cancel their visas) are the obvious targets, all the while opening the gates to white supremacists fleeing the consequences of their past apartheid practices in South Africa.

Trump himself has a long history as a known racist in the New York City housing market. He hasn’t changed.

Washington Post: ‘I own the store’: Trump seeks a direct role in the economy

From prices to tariffs to dealmaking, Trump’s involvement in economic issues prompts both frustration and applause.

With all due modesty:

And in his just-concluded Middle East trip, Trump pitched business leaders on doing business in America for one big reason: his personal involvement in the U.S. economy. “There’s no better place to make a future or make a fortune — to do anything, frankly — than what we have in the United States of America under a certain president, Donald J. Trump,” he said. “I have the right attitude.”

So says our royal buffoon, King Donald.

The Atlantic: The End of Rule of Law in America

The 47th president seems to wish he were king—and he is willing to destroy what is precious about this country to get what he wants.

The president of the United States appears to have long ago forgotten that Americans fought the Revolutionary War not merely to secure their independence from the British monarchy but to establish a government of laws, not of men, so that they and future generations of Americans would never again be subject to the whims of a tyrannical king. As Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense in 1776, “For as in absolute governments the king is law, so in free countries the law ought to be king; and there ought to be no other.”

Donald Trump seems also not to understand John Adams’s fundamental observation about the new nation that came into the world that same year. Just last month, an interviewer from Time magazine asked the president in the Oval Office, “Mr. President, you were showing us the new paintings you have behind us. You put all these new portraits. One of them includes John Adams. John Adams said we’re a government ruled by laws, not by men. Do you agree with that?” To which the president replied: “John Adams said that? Where was the painting?”

When the interviewer pointed to the portrait, Trump asked: “We’re a government ruled by laws, not by men? Well, I think we’re a government ruled by law, but you know, somebody has to administer the law. So therefore men, certainly, men and women, certainly play a role in it. I wouldn’t agree with it 100 percent. We are a government where men are involved in the process of law, and ideally, you’re going to have honest men like me.”

Honest men like Trump? With 6 bankruptcies and 34 felony convictions for falsified business records!!!

Associated Press: Trump’s plan to accept free Air Force One replacement from Qatar raises ethical and security worries

For President Donald Trump, accepting a free Air Force One replacement from Qatar is a no-brainer.

“I would never be one to turn down that kind of an offer,” the Republican told reporters on Monday. “I could be a stupid person and say, ‘No, we don’t want a free, very expensive airplane.’”

Critics of the plan worry that the move threatens to turn a global symbol of American power into an airborne collection of ethical, legal, security and counterintelligence concerns.

But security is the primary concern when it comes to presidential travel. The current Air Force One planes were built from scratch near the end of the Cold War. They are hardened against the effects of a nuclear blast and include a range of security features, such as anti-missile countermeasures and an onboard operating room. They are also equipped with air-to-air refueling capabilities for contingencies, though it has never been utilized with a president on board.

A former U.S. official briefed on the Air Force One replacement project said that while it would be possible to add some features to the Qatari jet, there was no way to add the full suite of capabilities to the plane on a tight timetable.

GB News: Peter Hitchens says Donald Trump ‘not a wholly rational and responsible person anymore’ after dramatic tariff U-turn

President Trump is no longer a “wholly rational and responsible person”, political commentator Peter Hitchens has said on GB News.

“I think the moment is surely coming when anybody interested in rational politics limited to the true possibilities of what will actually work should start to wonder if the person occupying the Oval Office is fit to do so.

“It’s immensely worrying if he’s doing this and he has the power to do so. This doesn’t seem the work of a wholly rational and responsible person.

“Conservatives who make excuses for Trump because he sometimes does things they like should stop doing so.”

Alternet: ‘Caught in limbo’: Decorated Iraq War veteran now target of Trump deportations

What a wonderful way to that a veteran for his service to our country! Not!

A man who served in the U.S. military and survived two combat deployments to Iraq is now at risk of being deported to a country that is refusing to accept him.

Rolling Stone columnist Michael Embrich wrote Wednesday about the case of Army veteran Jose Barco, who is now in deportation proceedings even though he’s an honorably discharged Purple Heart recipient diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. According to Embrich, Barco is “caught in limbo” as he faces deportation to Venezuela, despite not having visited the country since he was a toddler.

Barco — whose father fled Cuba for Venezuela before bringing him to the U.S. at age four — received his Purple Heart medal after an explosion launched him into a wall, resulting in severe burns and a traumatic brain injury. In 2004, he served in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, and saw frequent combat as his deployment was during the height of the Iraqi insurgency.

Embrich went on to write about how Barco was nearly naturalized, as he got help with his U.S. citizenship application from his commanding officer. However, Barco’s file got lost in the application process, and he had no way to track it in the system. As Embrich explained, Barco had a “straightforward path to naturalization” that ended up becoming “an invisible trap door leading to exile.”
