Raw Story: Trump increasingly angry as judges he hired hit him with ‘stark rejections’: report

Donald Trump is growing increasingly frustrated that some of the political initiatives of his second term are running into legal roadblocks — particularly as some of his judicial appointees are the ones running interference.

According to a report from Politico’s Kyle Cheney, Trump’s selections to the Supreme Court, Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, have been reliably siding with him on a series of short-term wins via the so-called “shadow docket,” but he continues to suffer setbacks from district judges he nominated to the bench — including one he put in place recently.

That has led to the president privately fuming and then complaining on social media about advisers and outside groups who vetted the judicial nominees for him.

Citing Trump setbacks on deporting immigrants, banning the Associated Press from the White House, handcuffing his tariff campaign, and, most recently, limiting his ability to send National Guard troops into Portland, Cheney noted Trump complained on Truth Social late Saturday, “I wasn’t served well by the people that pick judges.”

According to the Politico report, Trump’s latest broadside “came four months after he similarly sounded off about the ‘bad advice’ he got from the conservative Federalist Society for his first-term judicial nominations — a reaction to a ruling, backed by a Trump-appointed judge, rejecting his power to impose sweeping tariffs on U.S. trading partners.”

The report noted, “While Trump and his allies have spent all year leveling pointed attacks at Democratic judicial appointees, labeling them rogue insurrectionists and radicals, the president is increasingly facing stark rejections from people he put on the bench.”

The trouble the president is running into is being attributed to home-state senators, who are being accused of pushing Trump to “nominate more moderate picks than they might otherwise in states dominated by the opposing party.”

“Still, in some cases in which Trump-appointed judges have heard Trump-related cases, they have gone further than simply ruling against his policies. They have delivered sweeping warnings about the expansion of executive power, the erosion of checks and balances and have criticized his attacks on judges writ large,” Cheney wrote.

Slingshot News: ‘Do You Know Kaczynski?’: Trump Gets Manipulated By Dementia, Invents Fake Story That His Uncle Taught The Notorious Unabomber

During his remarks at the Energy and Innovation Summit in Pennsylvania in July, Donald Trump bragged about his uncle, MIT Professor John G. Trump, having taught Ted Kaczynski, the notorious Unabomber. This is not true because Kaczynski never attended MIT; he attended Harvard and the University of Michigan.

Miami Herald: Leavitt Announces ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Investigation

The Trump administration is reportedly reviewing alleged incidents of violence involving trans-identifying individuals, prompting pushback from Democrats who claimed the effort is politicized. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the policy team is assessing incidents as the FBI and DOJ handle cases. She aligned the review with efforts targeting ideologically motivated violence.

Leavitt said, “The administration will seriously investigate a recent rise in violence allegedly linked to trans-identifying individuals and their supporters.”

Leavitt added, “We are focused on understanding the root causes of the violence, which we describe as domestic terrorism.”

The Human Rights Campaign has cited violence against transgender people since 2013, linking it to anti-trans stigma and policies.

The Human Rights Campaign stated, “Anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and legislative attacks are translating to anti-LGBTQ+ violence.”

Critics argued that claims of an “epidemic” is exaggerated, noting Human Rights Campaign data show lower homicide rates than several other groups. National and city rates are still above the HRC’s highest estimates.

The Human Rights Campaign claimed the administration’s data likely undercounts victims, noting many involve acquaintances or partners.

Daily Beast: Stephen Miller Loses the Plot as MAGA Is Blamed for Judge Attack

Stephen Miller Melts Down as MAGA Is Blamed for Fire at Judge’s House

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller was called out for MAGA’s violent rhetoric after a fire tore through a South Carolina judge’s house.

Judge Diane Goodstein, who ruled against the Trump administration in a high-profile voter registration case, had been walking her dogs on a beach when her $1.1 million Edisto Beach home went up in flames around midday on Saturday.

Goodstein had reportedly been receiving death threats for a few weeks, the local FITSNews reported.

Three people were hospitalized after the blaze, which is being investigated by authorities.

Her husband, Arnold Goodstein, was forced to jump from the first floor to escape the blaze. He is understood to have suffered multiple broken bones. He is a former Democratic state congressman and state senator.

Trump, @StephenM and MAGA-world have been doxxing and threatening judges who rule against Trump, including Judge Goodstein.

Today, someone committed arson on the Judge’s home, severely injuring her husband and son.

Will Trump speak out against the extreme right that did this?? https://t.co/Dl8JcUted7— Daniel Goldman (@danielsgoldman) October 6, 2025

Two others were rescued by neighbors and paramedics from a marshy area at the rear of the house. Goodstein’s son, Arnold Goodstein II, is also in the hospital, but the extent of his injuries is not known.

Last month, Judge Goodstein issued a temporary restraining order to block the Trump administration’s Department of Justice from getting access to the South Carolina Election Commission’s voter registration data.

Democratic congressman and attorney Daniel Goldman, who served as lead counsel in the first impeachment of Donald Trump, was quick to tag Miller on X with footage of the fire.

“Stephen Miller and MAGA-world have been doxxing and threatening judges who rule against Trump, including Judge Goodstein,” Goldman wrote on X.

“Today, someone committed arson on the Judge’s home, severely injuring her husband and son. Will Trump speak out against the extreme right that did this??”

Miller was quick to respond, calling Goldman “deeply warped and vile.”

MAGA mouthpiece Miller posted on X, “There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors and attorneys general.”

“The only remedy is to use legitimate state power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks,“ Miller wrote.

“While the Trump Administration has launched the first-ever government-wide effort to combat and prosecute illegal doxing, sinister threats and political violence you continue to push despicable lies, demented smears, malicious defamation and foment unrest,” Miller said. “Despicable.”

Goldman replied, saying that Miller was being evasive by avoiding a direct answer to his question.

“If you are trying to combat political violence, why don’t you condemn the political violence against a judge who ruled against you and your admin? It’s pretty simple: do you condemn all political violence or only that against your supporters?”

The Daily Beast has contacted the White House for comment.

Mirror US: Fox News viewers turn on Donald Trump as they slam president’s ‘reckless’ move

After Donald Trump was asked by a journalist to share more details on an attack in the Caribbean over the weekend, the president’s response left Fox News viewers baffled

Fox News viewers have turned on Donald Trump while slamming the president’s comments as “reckless.”

Last week, Trump said the US had carried out a strike in the southern Caribbean against a drug-carrying vessel that departed from Venezuela and was operated by the Tren de Aragua gang. He wrote in a social media post that 11 people were killed in the rare US military operation – a dramatic escalation in the Republican administration’s effort to stem the flow of narcotics from Latin America.

Then speaking at Naval Station Norfolk on Sunday beside the aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman on Sunday, Trump noted another vessel had been hit on Saturday. He said, “In recent weeks, the Navy has supported our mission to blow the cartel terrorists the hell out of the water … we did another one last night. Now we just can’t find any.” Just weeks ago, Venezuelan authorities released harrowing footage of a vessel being intercepted by a US warship.

Yesterday, Trump was asked by a Fox News reporter to share more details on Saturday’s attack. The journalist asked, “You said there was an attack yesterday night in the Caribbean, can you give more details on that?”

But Trump didn’t explain anything and instead responded, “My people will give you those details.” After the video was circulated on social media, Fox News viewers hit out at Trump, saying that mentioning a military attack without giving further details was a “reckless” move on his part.

A person wrote on X, “Announcing military action without details is reckless. The public deserves facts, not ‘my people will fill you in later.'” Another tweeted, “Trump: I just wear hats and make believe I stopped wars. I’m not a ‘details guy.’ Are you new?”

Someone else said, “He’s started building his ‘I knew nothing about it’ defence. It was all someone else’s idea, and I only heard about it after it happened.” A viewer said, “He knows it’s a war crime.” One more added, “Trump doesn’t know the details. He’s just the tariff guy. He’s not in charge of anything else.”

While Trump referred to a Saturday attack, it remains unclear whether he was referring to an attack that happened on Friday, or whether there was an additional one. In an apparent threat to strike Venezuela, he said, “They’re not coming in by sea anymore, so now we’ll have to start looking about the land because they’ll be forced to go by land.”

Addressing a strike carried out on Tuesday last week, Trump said 11 people were killed as he also posted a short video clip of a small vessel appearing to explode in flames. He wrote on Truth Social, “The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea in International waters transporting illegal narcotics, heading to the United States. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike. Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America.”

The video appears to show a long, multi-engine speedboat traveling at sea when a bright flash of light bursts over the craft. The boat is then briefly seen covered in flames. The video, which is largely in black and white, is not clear enough to see if the craft is carrying as many as 11 people. The video also did not show any large or clear stashes of drugs inside the boat.

Tren de Aragua originated more than a decade ago at an infamously lawless prison with hardened criminals in Venezuela’s central state of Aragua. The gang has expanded in recent years as more than 7.7 million Venezuelans fled economic turmoil and migrated to other Latin American countries or the US. Trump and administration officials have repeatedly blamed the gang for being at the root of the violence and illicit drug dealing that plague some cities.

And the president on Tuesday repeated his claim – contradicted by a declassified US intelligence assessment – that Tren de Aragua is operating under Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s control. The White House did not immediately explain how the military determined that those aboard the vessel were Tren de Aragua members. The size of the gang is unclear, as is the extent to which its actions are coordinated across state lines and national borders.
