Daily Express: Trump signs order to relax environmental rules for Bezos and Musk’s spaceships

President Trump’s latest executive order will anger environmental groups while appearing to boost SpaceX and Blue Origin

On Wednesday, Trump signed an executive order titled “Enabling Competition in the Commercial Space Industry”, saying it was crucial to national security that the private rocket-ship industry increase launches “substantially” by 2030.

The order directs the U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to “eliminate outdated, redundant, or overly restrictive rules for launch and reentry vehicles.” Duffy called Trump’s executive order “visionary”.

According to the executive order, this would mean that commercial spaceship companies may be able to bypass the environmental reviews that are required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Usually private space companies are required to get launch permits from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and are subject to review under the National Environmental Policy Act.

Space companies have complained that the FAA has taken too long to review launch permits, and environmental groups have criticized the agency for not using NEPA reviews to require more protections at launch sites.

Environmental reviews are in place because rocket launches and landings can be hugely disruptive to local towns and residents, along with the nature and wildlife in the area.

For example, toxic chemicals, noises and fumes created at launch can injure and kill endangered species, while exploded rocket parts returning to Earth can harm marine life.

The suit looked at SpaceX’s Starship rocket launch in Texas in April 2023, which had a concerning impact on the surrounding environment. The spaceship annihilated its launchpad, sending chunks of concrete flying 6 miles (10km) away. It also sparked a grassfire that burned nearly 4 acres of a state park.

A six-mile circle of damage and destruction!

Irish Star: Trump’s health reaches new low as he begins to look ‘deeply unhealthy’

President Donald Trump is appearing to look ‘deeply unhealthy’ according to his niece Mary Trump, who also shares recent footage of the President rambling incoherently.

Psychologist and writer Mary Trump claimed in a recent YouTube video that President Trump’s health is continuing to decline.

In an upload titled ‘Trump RAMBLES AND STUMBLES as Health Worsens,’ Mary, Donald Trump’s niece, shows a clip of the President rambling about windmills and even appears to suggest that they kill whales.

“I do not believe in ad hominem attacks. I think they’re below the belt,” Mary said about Trump, who has been given a terrifying new nickname

“But that’s different from pointing out that the president of the United States looks deeply unhealthy, which is something that should concern us. Because Donald, as you know, was an extraordinarily vain person. Why did he suddenly decide that he didn’t need to go out in public wearing makeup and having his hair done?” It comes after a Trump family member revealed his body is “rotting inside” as she delivered a terrifying update on the president’s health

She continued, “Again, I don’t care that he wears makeup or has his hair done. I care that he doesn’t look well.”

In previous videos on her YouTube channel, Mary described the President as “erratic” and “ unserious,” stating this has only become more true, but has always been true, that he is profoundly unfit to lead this country.

She then showed a clip of Trump speaking to the press during his recent visit to Scotland, where he appears terrified of windmills and suggests they are responsible for everything from killing whales to “killing us.”

Trump then called windmills a “con job” and said, “It’s very expensive. It ruins the landscape.

“It kills the birds. They’re noisy. One or two whales wash ashore. And over the last short period of time, they had 18 because it’s driving them crazy. I look over the horizon, and I see nine windmills.”

Just a few days ago, Trump was seen struggling to understand a reporter and had to ask her to repeat her question several times during a bill signing ceremony in the Roosevelt Room.

When questioned about ‘Russiagate,’ the reporter asked him repeatedly, before Trump finally said, “I don’t know… I don’t know…”

Mirror: LA immigration protests LIVE: Civil war fears explode as 2,000 National Guard troops deployed

Americans are panicking about chaotic scenes unfolding in Los Angeles today as angry protesters clashed with federal agents.

Americans fear civil war is beginning right before their eyes as LA protesters and police clash – and California Democrat Adam Schiff has even accused Donald Trump of wanting a reason to justify martial law.

Trump is deploying 2,000 National Guard troops as protesters seek to block federal immigration authorities from carrying out deportations. And defense secretary Pete Hegseth has threatened to send in the Marines, with around 500 troops on standby.

In a statement released on Sunday, U.S. Northern Command said that, at the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth about 500 Marines are “in a prepared to deploy status” should they be called upon to defend federal facilities and personnel.

In an earlier directive, the President invoked a legal provision allowing him to deploy federal service members when there is ”a rebellion or danger of a rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.”

Writing on X, one user said “sadly LA looks like a scene from the 2024 Civil War movie,” while another user asked: “Is the US now in de facto civil war or is that not yet what they call it?”

Others said they fear LA is the “beginning” of a wider civil war across the U.S.

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Trump are publicly clashing about efforts taken to contain the protests, with Newsom even going as far as accusing Trump of “manufacturing a crisis.”

This was echoed by Schiff, who wrote on social media: “There is nothing President Trump would like more than a violent confrontation with protestors to justify the unjustifiable — invocation of the Insurrection Act or some form of martial law.”
