MarketWatch: Millions of Americans may lose health insurance under GOP tax plan. Here’s who will be affected most.

The plan would represent the largest cut to Medicaid ever

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the bill could lead to at least 8.6 million Americans losing health coverage, with the majority expected to lose Medicaid. Most affected would be low-income adults without dependents, earning a bit more than a poverty income of $15,650 for a single person.

Go for it, suckers! Mid-terms are coming, and they will come with a vengeance!

New York Post: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem [Bimbo #2] says NJ Dems involved in Newark ICE center fracas should be censured: ‘This was committing felonies’

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem [Bimbo #2] called for the congressional lawmakers involved in a heated confrontation with law enforcement outside a Newark immigration detention center to be censured.

“What happened last Friday was we had members of Congress assaulting law enforcement officers,” Noem [Bimbo #2] said TUESDAY of the chaotic scene that unfolded last week outside the Delaney Hall Detention Center, during an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters.

I saw the videos, you stupid loud-mouthed goat-and-puppy killing bitch. It was the ICE thugs who assaulted the Congressional representatives, who were there on official business.

Mediaite: Federal Magistrate Warns Alina Habba [Bimbo #4] Over Comments About Ongoing Case: ‘Heed Carefully to the Rules’

A federal magistrate cautioned Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba [Bimbo #4] against continuing to comment publicly about an ongoing case her office is prosecuting.

Last week, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) was arrested at an ICE detention facility in the city after he and three Democratic members of Congress visited the complex. Baraka said he and the lawmakers were allowed in the facility and were there for an hour, and no one told him to leave. Ultimately, he was arrested by federal agents. Shortly afterward, Habba [Bimbo #4], the top prosecutor for the District of New Jersey, posted about the arrest on social media and phoned into Fox News.

“More than once, [he] refused to leave, was put under arrest inside the facility, walked out when he was told he was under arrest, and then was cuffed,” she said, and accused Baraka and the lawmakers of “grandstanding.” Habba [Bimbo #4] has issued other public comments about the case.

According to Politico, U.S. Magistrate André M. Espinosa advised Habba’s [Bimbo #4’s] office in a Friday video conference against giving public remarks about the case. After Baraka’s attorney asked Espinosa to warn Habba’s [Bimbo #4’s] office, the magistrate addressed the government’s lawyers and said he would “caution them to heed carefully to the rules of professional conduct” and “boundaries of propriety for public comment related to an ongoing investigation and/or prosecution.”

USA Today: Trump uses Supreme Court birthright citizenship case in bid to limit judges’ power

President Trump is counting on the Supreme Court to limit the ability of judges to put his policies on hold while they’re being challenged.

Judges across the country have blocked some of President Donald Trump’s biggest policy changes − roadblocks the president has called “toxic and unprecedented.”

Trump is counting on the Supreme Court to fix that.

How inclined the justices might be to do so could become apparent on May 15 when the court considers Trump’s move to end automatic citizenship for children born in the United States regardless of whether their parents are citizens or permanent residents.

The president hasn’t yet asked the high court to consider the legality of his policy – which was called “blatantly unconstitutional” by the first judge to review it.

Instead, Trump wants the justices to narrow the scope of multiple court orders keeping his new rules on hold until the citizenship policy has been fully litigated.

The administration argues that, for now, Trump should be able to impose the change on everyone except the 18 parents named in the lawsuits or, at most, any member of two immigrant rights groups or residents of a state that challenged the policy.

Daily Beast: Trump Administration Sued Over ‘American Heroes’ Sculpture Garden

The National Endowment for the Humanities canceled tens of millions of dollars’ worth of grants to fund Trump’s garden.

President Donald Trump’s administration has been hit with a class-action lawsuit over its decision to cancel tens of millions of dollars’ worth of arts grants and direct the money to a sculpture garden dedicated to “American heroes.” In early April, the National Endowment for the Humanities notified about 1,400 grantees that it was canceling their grants effective immediately, according to a lawsuit filed Monday by The Authors Guild. The money would instead be used for the “National Garden of American Heroes” that Trump has been trying to build since his first term.

Associated Press: Family of 2-year-old US citizen deported to Honduras drops lawsuit against Trump administration

A federal judge in Louisiana had raised questions about the girl’s deportation, saying the government did not prove it had done so properly.

Lawyers for the girl’s father insisted he wanted the girl to remain with him in the U.S., while ICE said the mother had wanted the girl to be deported with her to Honduras.

In a court filing, lawyers for the father said ICE indicated that it was holding the girl in a bid to induce the father to turn himself in.

ICE holding a two-year-old girl hostage for leverage against her father? Nothing would surprise me.

CBS News: Left-wing streamer Hasan Piker says he was detained, asked “Do you like Donald Trump?” at Chicago O’Hare

Popular Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan Piker, who has more than 2 million followers on the live-streaming platform, said he was detained and questioned by federal authorities at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport for more than two hours after arriving in the U.S. on an international flight.

This happened as Piker, 33, was headed to speak at the University of Chicago on Sunday after he returned from a family vacation in Paris. Piker, a prominent Turkish American live streamer who has openly spoken out against the war in Gaza, told the Institute of Politics crowd at UChicago that he believes he was targeted at O’Hare for his criticism of the Trump administration.

“They took me to the back room, into a detention center. An agent came out and took me into the interrogation room … and they started asking me about crazy [expletive], like, ‘Do you like Donald Trump?'” he said.

The American-born Twitch streamer and left-wing political commentator recounted at length to his millions of followers his two-hour encounter with federal agents after he arrived in Chicago from Paris. He claims he was asked not only about the president, but he was also questioned about his opinions on Israel, Hamas and the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

“Everything I’ve done is fully protected under the First Amendment, OK?” Piker said. “And none of these questions are actually valid questions to ask.”

Piker said this applies no matter what one’s political beliefs are.

“It’s illegal for them to even ask me those questions, like, they can’t deny me entry into my own country,” Piker said. “It’s like, even if I was like, ‘I love Hamas,’ they can’t do that. Like, what do you mean?”

And this bullshit from Homeland Security:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin acknowledged that Piker was detained, but took issue with his account of what happened.

McLaughlin said: “This is nothing but lying for likes. Claims that his political beliefs triggered the inspection are baseless. Our officers are following the law, not agendas.”

Under King Donald, it’s all about agendas — Trump’s agendas.

Ft. Worth Star Telegram: ‘Null and Void’: Judge Strikes Down Executive Order

A U.S. federal judge recently ruled that Executive Order 14230, which targeted law firm Perkins Coie LLP, is unconstitutional. Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued the ruling in the case Perkins Coie LLP v. U.S. Department of Justice, et al. The court has granted Perkins Coie’s Motion for Summary Judgment, permanently blocking the enforcement of the executive order.

The court declared the executive order “null and void,” invalidating restrictions that stripped security clearances from Perkins Coie lawyers and halted their dealings with the government. The U.S. Department of Justice, the primary defendant, attempted to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming the executive order was valid, but the court rejected this argument.

The Atlantic: The End of Rule of Law in America

The 47th president seems to wish he were king—and he is willing to destroy what is precious about this country to get what he wants.

The president of the United States appears to have long ago forgotten that Americans fought the Revolutionary War not merely to secure their independence from the British monarchy but to establish a government of laws, not of men, so that they and future generations of Americans would never again be subject to the whims of a tyrannical king. As Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense in 1776, “For as in absolute governments the king is law, so in free countries the law ought to be king; and there ought to be no other.”

Donald Trump seems also not to understand John Adams’s fundamental observation about the new nation that came into the world that same year. Just last month, an interviewer from Time magazine asked the president in the Oval Office, “Mr. President, you were showing us the new paintings you have behind us. You put all these new portraits. One of them includes John Adams. John Adams said we’re a government ruled by laws, not by men. Do you agree with that?” To which the president replied: “John Adams said that? Where was the painting?”

When the interviewer pointed to the portrait, Trump asked: “We’re a government ruled by laws, not by men? Well, I think we’re a government ruled by law, but you know, somebody has to administer the law. So therefore men, certainly, men and women, certainly play a role in it. I wouldn’t agree with it 100 percent. We are a government where men are involved in the process of law, and ideally, you’re going to have honest men like me.”

Honest men like Trump? With 6 bankruptcies and 34 felony convictions for falsified business records!!!
